Our Story, Rooted in the Valley

A family farm of orchards, market gardens and heritage grain — grown slowly, picked at peak, and shared with our neighbours.

About Us

Three Generations on 120 Acres

Our family has worked this ground for three generations. What began as a small apple orchard is now 120 acres of orchards, market gardens and heritage grain, farmed side by side so each enterprise feeds the next — prunings mulch the gardens, garden compost feeds the trees, and grain straw beds the winter beds.

We farm without synthetic fertilisers or sprays. Cover crops rest every field in turn, hedgerows shelter pollinators, and drip lines water roots instead of weeds. It is slower than conventional farming, and the flavour in the crate is the reason we keep at it.

Most of what we grow is sold within the valley — through our veg boxes, the Saturday farm gate, and growers we advise through our field services . If you eat from this valley, there is a good chance we grew some of it.

Why Choose Us

Four Promises Behind Everything We Grow

01

Living Soil

Compost, cover crops and careful rotations keep our soil dark, crumbly and full of life.

02

Careful Water

Drip lines, mulch and rain capture put every litre exactly where the roots need it.

03

Picked at Peak

Fruit, veg and grain are harvested ripe and reach the valley within a day of picking.

04

Shared Prosperity

Fair wages, fair prices and shared know-how keep the whole valley growing with us.

Sustainable Farming

Cultivating Excellence in Every Green Field

Across one hundred and twenty acres of orchards, gardens and grain, we measure what matters: living soil, careful water and food picked at its peak. These are last season's numbers.
